Thanksgiving is about gathering the people you love around one table, and few places make that easier than a private villa. If you are dreaming of Thanksgiving in Jamaica, Coconut Cottage offers room for everyone, a dedicated team to look after the details and a view to be grateful for. Here is how a villa holiday can turn the Thanksgiving week into something truly special.

Why Thanksgiving in Jamaica Works So Well
Hosting Thanksgiving at home often means weeks of planning, a full kitchen and a long list of chores. At Coconut Cottage, the work is taken care of. Our dedicated full-time staff includes a private chef, butler, housekeeper, gardener, laundress and security personnel, so nobody has to be the host and the cook at the same time. You simply arrive, settle in and enjoy the people you came with.
A Table for the Whole Family
The villa has indoor and outdoor dining areas with spectacular views and candlelit ambiance, which makes a holiday meal feel like an occasion. Your private chef prepares meals for the group, so you can spend the afternoon together instead of in the kitchen.
Please speak to our team in advance about the dishes your family loves and any dietary needs, so the table is just how you like it. Our post on whether your villa includes a private chef explains more about what to expect.

Start the Day Your Way
Thanksgiving morning can be as lively or as lazy as you like. Some guests start with a workout in the newly built gym, which has the latest equipment and a Peloton bike. Others head straight to the private, four-foot-deep heated pool, where floats and toys are provided for the children. Hammocks are close by for anyone who wants a quiet moment before the feast.
Room for Everyone
Five recently remodelled, air-conditioned suites give each branch of the family some space. All five have flatscreen TVs and ceiling fans, and the three larger suites feature antique four-poster beds, custom furnishings and designer fabrics. Every suite opens onto the expansive veranda, which has panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and Montego Bay.
It is a lovely place to gather before dinner. If you are travelling with several generations, our guide to a private villa for a multi-generational vacation has more ideas.

Games After the Feast
Once the meal is over, the entertainment is right outside. The villa has a ping-pong table, cornhole, a basketball hoop and board games, so cousins, parents and grandparents can all join in. Younger children will enjoy the tree swing, and portable Bluetooth speakers work with smartphones, tablets and laptops, so your family playlist can follow you from the pool to the veranda.
When You Want to Explore
Your stay includes membership at The Tryall Golf & Beach Club, which has a white-sand beach, a full-service spa, tennis and a kids’ club (additional charges may apply for select amenities, including the spa, water sports, tennis and golf). On five-day and weeklong stays, you also have complimentary 24/7 use of a 12-passenger van and personal driver, including transfers to and from Montego Bay Airport. Guests are responsible for additional tanks of gas and for tips.
